Assalaamualaikum!
I’m currently a fourth year medical student at NYITCOM and an up and coming intern for the Emergency Medicine program at Jacobi/Montefiore in the Bronx. I’m a first generation Bengali-American , and have spent my whole life in NYC. In my free time, I enjoy reading, fitness, and being involved in the local Masjids.
Day by day, there’s a growing presence of Muslims who have an interest in the medical field. It’s all the more important for us to have access to tips, advice, and perspectives from our brothers and sisters who’ve been through the system. InshaAllah, the purpose of this blog is to help you address the same questions that I had encountered as a Pre-Med and soon to be former Med student.
